51 DOWN, 15 TO GO until a new champ is crowned. If you needed proof that the Big Ten is the best conference in college basketball, hopefully you've been paying attention. Big Ten teams are 9-2 after two rounds.
I don't know what it is about March Madness and Michigan State, but they (and coach Tom Izzo) always seem to rise to the challenge. I guess that's what happens when you schedule real competition to begin the season (Michigan State lost to both Duke & North Carolina to start 2012). Of course, having a Hall of Fame coach and blue chip athletes helps too.
EARLY ROUND CASUALTIES
Missouri's Frank Haith (Lost 84-86 to Norfolk State)
Duke's Mike Krzyzewski (Lost 70-75 to Lehigh)
Purdue's Matt Painter (Lost 60-63 to Kansas)
Kansas State's Frank Martin (Lost 59-75 to Syracuse)
WHO WILL GET THE FINAL ROSE? MY VOTE (and bracket) GOES TO:
KENTUCKY WILDCATS
